LOL DENMARK 2025

The purpose is to improve well-being among children and young people in care and vulnerable situations.

There was lots of energy and happy smiles at the world’s first LOL4U for children and young people in care and vulnerable situations, held in Aarhus.
Together, we enjoyed FodboldFunk, BasketScoop and HåndboldSplat, with participation from former footballer Stig Tøfting, the world’s longest throw-in specialist Thomas Grønnemark, and a couple of star players from Bakken Bears, Filip Ates and Tymu Chenery.
In addition, we were joined by the world’s most travelled hot dog stand and Okkels Ice Cream.
As in Ghana, drawings were created with inspiration from UN Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation.
eLOL
There was a lot of speed in both sim-rigs and the hotdog stand, when children and young people from foster care visited our CSR partner RacingRoom for our first eLOL.
They pedaled hard, had fun, ate crispy hotdogs and had a chat with racing driver Valdemar Eriksen, track record holder at the FDM Jyllandsringen.
weLOL
Our LOL for foster children debuted in March with a bang at a match at our ambassador Bakken Bears – the Danish champions.
We started with LOL fun in the VIP room, where a few players also stopped by and did autographs.
Children and young people from seven different institutions clapped along when the Bakken Bears scored, and fortunately they did so quite often.
After the match, we were able to meet the players on the field, have pictures taken and get even more autographs.

FilurLOL
FilurLOL was held twice in 2025, hosted by Teaterhuset Filuren.
The first time, the children experienced the performance Toner fra himlen (Tones from Heaven), where we wore headphones and explored all around Musikhuset Aarhus. It was a fantastic experience sprinkled with drama games, laughter, and plenty of “LOL-hygge” (cozy fun).
The second time, the drama games went full throttle with lots of laughter and excitement, bringing everyone together across different residential homes.
Musikhuset (FilurLOL) this past Sunday was a huge hit!

LOL AMBASSADORS
